 “What is ‘The Loft’?”

The Loft is a unique space developed exclusively for events. Located in a former Victorian schoolhouse, boasting exposed brickwork, large bay windows & light wooden floors. Reminiscent of a New York loft, this venue is in a class of it’s own in Leeds.

The Loft consists of 3 separate & individual rooms including an outside courtyard. Rooms can be hired out individually or you can have the entire venue. The rooms do differ in both size and character so depending on how many guests you are looking to entertain and the atmosphere you’d like creating you can pick between whatever’s best for your special event.

Unlike many other events venues, the décor of The Loft is entirely designed to make your event unique. The ‘blank canvas’ style of the rooms means that you (or we) can convert your space into the best style that fits your event and imagination, whether it be a themed party, exhibition or wedding, you are not restricted by the décor already in place.

“How many guests can each room fit?”

This will depend on what kind of event you will be hosting, and whether you will be having props, stages or a sit-down meal that will take up some space. To follow is a guide of how many guests can fit comfortably in each room.

“Does ‘The Loft’ provide in-house catering?”

Yes we do, we have a very large and modern kitchen area in the venue and our catering company ‘Munch’ can provide catering for any kind of event you wish to hold, whether it be a sit-down meal, canapés or a classic BBQ. The chef’s will prepare exquisite dishes tailored to your wishes. Click here to have a look at some of the menu packages we have available or visit the website www.munchcatering.com We have our own experienced staff that will cater for your guests and provide excellent waiter service (formal or informal), be it serving canapés or a 3-course meal.

“Where is ‘The Loft’?”

The Loft is situated on Cross York Street, Leeds City Centre. It is in close proximity to the train station (approximately 5-10minute walk) and just over the road from a large NCP multi-storey car park special loft rates apply. “Do you offer an Events Management service?”

Yes, we have a highly experienced, dedicated & enthusiastic team to help your event run smoothly. Our team have worked on all kinds of events such as corporate parties, weddings, fashion shows, themed events & Christmas parties. They are always happy to make suggestions to help you develop the perfect event.

“Can you arrange entertainment/music for an event?”

Yes, we have an entertainment company that we work very closely with who can provide any kind of entertainment you require, from stilt walkers to fire-eaters, models to dancers, illusionists to drag queens, whatever you want we can get! We also work alongside very experienced DJ’s who can provide music to suit any event and tailor to your requirements. Through our entertainments agency and our links with Artsmix we can also provide live musicians such as saxophonists, singers and bands to give your guests a performance they will never forget.

“Can you provide events/wedding photography?”

Yes, we have a preferred list of professional and experienced photographers who will help capture those precious moments for you and can print the images however you desire. Event DVD’s are now becoming popular, with guests having their events captured on film and made into a DVD so that they & their guests can re-live the fun of the night on screen, this service we can also provide.

“Can you provide lighting and production set up?”

Yes, we have a production company that we work closely with who can provide all aspects of lighting and production, from stage sets and sound, to up-lighting and strobes. We can provide bespoke lighting to how you want the mood of your room to be, whether it is a warm hue or a multi-coloured disco room, our technicians will create the perfect atmosphere.
